Press release: 2nd July 2010:
Opportunity for musos to learn business skills:
There is now an opportunity for musicians to learn the necessary business skills to survive through a program that has been specifically written for them.
STEP INSIDE utilises the Certificate two of Business framework and yet captures the imagination of the participant to step inside and take a look at being creative in their life, remain sustainable and motivated to succeed in their chosen pathway.
STEP INSIDE encourages all participants to come together for the motivation sessions therefore breaking down the barriers within our community.
STEP INSIDES key MOTIVATOR is a Police Officer who was doing his job one day and ended up being caught in a siege, was shot 14 times with a high-powered rifle and left lying on the ground for 3 hours before he could be rescued. Everyone believed he was dead but he survived and despite massive injuries returned to his job, without restriction, and back to elite levels of sport too. His fight to return to the job he was passionate about is a powerful and inspiring analogy that can be used by anyone who wants to achieve more than they currently are.
The motivation sessions, that takes place half way through the program, will inspire and motive participants and the wider community by showing them how to build the Confidence, Courage and Capacity to achieve their goals and their dreams and create the future they really want. They will learn what it takes and how to build the resilience to endure set backs and keep chasing those things they become passionate about.
STEP INSIDE spokesperson Alan Barnes (singer songwriter and younger brother of Jimmy Barnes) knows only to well the need to remain focused and motivated to maintain a sustainable life.
âBeing a professional artist for 25 years has meant that I have had to not only learn business skills and remain motivated but I have had to maintain my creative edge to remain successful. Learning the business skills for a creative person is vital. The program is a credit to the Independent Musos Network Inc who have identified that creative people need these skills. Motivation and inspiration is the key to success in life.â said Alan.
âThe program is done in the comfort of the participants home, coming together twice through the process: once for the motivation session and again for the graduation. This format will encourage the participant to develop good time management skills.â added Alan.
Some participants may qualify for funding.
Participants can register by smsing their details to 0407 343 920 or emailing cangroup@primus.com.au.
